A couple of days ago I was sat having my morning coffee in the back garden when I heard a Cuckoo. Unfortunately it was a day that I was due in the office, however today I was working from home! So I was out of the house by 06.30 for a wander and hopefully find the bird that I have always heard but never seen. However the Cuckoo sighting was heard but not seen yet again.
One the plus side the wildlife and nature that I did see certainly made getting out of the house well worth while.

Recently purchased a secondhand Nikon 70-300mm zoom lens, however in my haste in purchasing said bargain I did not notice the fact that it was a manual focus lens. It is a hit and miss affair at the moment but i'm enjoying the extra reach that it affords me.

I enjoyed the challenge of photographing the Swallows feeding their young. There were six juveniles lined up waiting to be fed by the parents that were busy sweeping the adjacent fields.
