Was ist mit dem Klimavertrag von Paris?

Die Vertragsstaatenkonferenz der UN-Klimarahmenkonvention hat am 12.12.2015 die „Pariser Vereinbarung“ beschlossen. Die Vereinbarung tritt in Kraft am 13. Tag,
nachdem mindestens 55 Vertragsstaaten mit mindestens 55% der globalen Treibhausgasemissionen sie unterzeichnet haben. Die Vereinbarung beginnt 2020 und löst das Kyoto-Protokoll ab.

ZIEL: Die Erderwärmung soll auf klar unter zwei Grad im Vergleich zur vorindustriellen Zeit begrenzt werden. Die Vertragsstaaten sollten sich sogar anstrengen, sie bei 1,5 Grad zu stoppen.

WEG ZUM ZIEL: Die Staaten wollen gemeinsam den Netto-Ausstoß ihrer Treibhausgase in der zweiten Hälfte dieses Jahrhunderts auf Null bringen: Sie dürfen dann nur noch so viele Treibhausgase ausstoßen, wie etwa mit Waldanpflanzungen oder durch Speichern von Kohlendioxid (CO2) im Boden aus der Atmosphäre gezogen werden kann. Für viele Forscher bedeutet dies, dass die Verbrennung von Kohle, Öl und Gas im Fall des Zwei-Grad-Ziels bis 2070 aufhören muss. Die Länder sollen ihre Ziele alle fünf Jahre nachbessern, zum ersten Mal 2020.

GELD FÜR KLIMASCHUTZ UND ANPASSUNG: Von 2020 bis 2025 sollen die Industriestaaten jährlich 100 Milliarden Dollar (91 Milliarden Euro) für Entwicklungsländer bereitstellen. Für die Jahre danach soll es ein neues, höheres Ziel geben. Andere Länder werden darin bestärkt, sich freiwillig an der Finanzierung zu beteiligen. Dieser Satz bezieht sich vor allem auf Ölstaaten und Schwellenländer.

VERLUSTE UND SCHÄDEN: Die Vertragsstaaten erkennen die Notwendigkeit an, ärmeren Staaten bei Verlusten und Schäden durch den Klimawandel zu helfen. Dazu zählen Dürren, Überschwemmungen, der Untergang von Inseln oder Sturmschäden. Für arme Länder soll beispielsweise ein Versicherungssystem gegen Schäden aufgebaut werden.

TRANSPARENZ: Alle Staaten sollen Klimaschutzaktivitäten und Daten zu den Treibhausgasen registrieren und offenlegen. Für Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländer wird dieser Punkt aber flexibel ausgelegt.

VERBINDLICHKEIT: Das Abkommen ist völkerrechtlich verbindlich. Es gibt jedoch keine Strafen bei Nichterfüllung der Punkte.

This photo I took in spring 2013 during a demo "Save East Side Gallery !"
What happened ?
Berlin sold a piece of communal ground to a private investor, directly beside this 2 km historical memorial (it`s the original Berlin Wall !). All actions and demos went off successless
.... last year they build a terrible multistorey building directtly between river Spree and the gallery.
.... expensive ground, directly in the city, with expensive luxury flats,
may be for sold for some Hollywood stars ?
