View to the north while climbing the Kitzbüheler Horn (1,996 m). On the far left you can see the Emperor Mountains. On the right in the centre of the picture, the less prominent summit of Harschbichl (1,604 m) with an alpine hut and the mountain station of the cable car coming up from St. Johann in Tyrol (Austria). It is a popular starting point for hikers and paragliders.

Blick nach Norden beim Aufstieg auf das Kitzbüheler Horn (1.996 m). Links hinten sieht man das Kaisergebirge. Rechts in der Bildmitte die wenig auffällige Gipfelkuppe des Harschbichl (1.604 m) mit einer Almhütte und der Bergstation der Gondelbahn, die von St. Johann in Tirol (Österreich) herauf kommt. Sie ist ein beliebter Startpunkt für Wanderer und Gleitschirmflieger.

Beginning of summer in the Alps. Here it shows up with Globeflowers (Trollius europaeus) when descending from the "Passau Hut" into the "Saalach Valley".

The troll flower is endangered throughout Germany and has already disappeared in northwestern Germany; it is therefore a protected species. The reason for the decline is the drainage of extensively used fresh and wet meadows. The human being simply destroys everything in his boundless greed.

Die Trollblume ist deutschlandweit gefährdet und in Nordwestdeutschland bereits verschwunden; sie steht daher unter Naturschutz. Grund für den Rückgang ist die Trockenlegung extensiv genutzter Frisch- und Feuchtwiesen. Der Mensch macht einfach alles kaputt in seiner grenzenlosen Gier.
