Taken this afternoon, at Southsea, Portsmouth, UK.

As well the Armed Forces Day celebrations, there was also free live music at the Bandstand where the atmosphere was wonderful with everyone enjoying themselves in the blazing hot sunshine. Great weather for having fun, but not so good for photography.

Three pretty random images for today!

This one was taken off Littlehampton beach, West Sussex, in very strong sunshinewith no cloud cover. B/W and minimal seemed the way to go.

A bit of a "marmite" building - people seem to either love it or hate it.

Taken at Droxford, Hampshire during a smashing couple of hours walk with Ajophotog this morning. Lovely sunshine, great company.

I'm not sure if anyone can see this photo. I'm giving up on IP today............it is randomly refusing to let me see photos posted by my contacts or to add stars etc. At one point it said that I was not entitled to see my own photos. I'll catch up tomorrow, when hopefully it will be sorted :-((

The Chesapeake Mill is a watermill in Wickham, Hampshire, England. The mill was designed and constructed in 1820 using the timbers of HMS Chesapeake, which had previously been the United States Navy frigate USS Chesapeake. Chesapeake had been captured by the Royal Navy frigate HMS Shannon during the War of 1812. John Prior paid the sum of £500 for the timbers sold at Portsmouth. The interior of the mill was designed around the dimensions of the deck beams. The mill remained in operation until 1976 and now serves as a retail centre for antique and gift sellers. My apologies to anyone who was confused by the multiple postings on my photostream last night and today. Yesterday I wasted a couple of hours of my life trying to upload 3 pics. I made several attempts and then gave up - thinking that by hitting the cancel button, I would actually cancel the uploads. It appears that Ipernity thought differently. I thought we'd got past this sort of problem..!!
