End of July, the "Fête Patronale de la Ste Marie-Madeleine" is a four days long event with a procession, competitions, tournaments, barbecue, lotteries and a flea market.<br /> <br /> We came a bit too early, so there were many empty chairs, waiting for the villagers. Next to the basilica, the Dominicans erected a large convent next, to support the pilgrims. The convent, built around a cloister, existed upto the French Revolution, when the building for a while served as a prison.
