The central feature of this view, broadly west, from the Donauturm is the Brigittenauer Brücke (opened 1982).

Note for photographers: although the vantage point of the Donauturm is ostensibly ideal for such shots and the observation deck glass-free, much of what might be of interest is to the south and south-west so that it is into sun for most of the day.

In this composition, I return to simplicity. I was tempted to title this in my occasional series 'Where Man Meets God' but have chosen another, simpler, title. The Donauturm is surprisingly pleasing for a relic of the 60s but is it more pleasing than any of the trees of the Donaupark?

The dominant building in this view north-west from the Donauturm is the Florido Tower (also written as Floridatower).

Note for photographers: although the vantage point of the Donauturm is ostensibly ideal for such shots and the observation deck glass-free, much of what might be of interest is to the south and south-west so that it is into sun for most of the day.

The view north-west from the Donauturm encompasses the Millennium Tower and Rivergate, and office development to the north of line U6 which crosses the Danube via the bridge to the right.
