Just visible in the distance, Farne Islands
National Nature Reserve (NNR) and Site of Special Scientific Interest ( SSSI). Home to an internationally significant breeding colony of seabirds and Atlantic grey seals.

Discovered in the archives and taken on the first of many visits to The Whisky Island,
The lighthouse (also known as Rubh'an Duin or Rubha an Duin) is a picturesque, compact lighthouse on the southeast side of the Rhinns of Islay peninsula, on the island of Islay (one of Scotland's Inner Hebrides, often called the "Queen of the Hebrides" or "whisky island"). It sits near the village of Port Charlotte, overlooking the sea loch of the same name.

Built: 1869 by renowned Scottish lighthouse engineers David and Thomas Stevenson, About 13 metres (43 ft) — a relatively short, "stumpy" white cylindrical brick tower with a balcony, lantern room, black dome, and ochre/yellow trim

Bridgwater Bay Lifeboat and BARB Rescue Hovercraft jetty at Burnham on Sea,

The bay is part of the Bristol Channel, at low tide large parts of the channel become mud flats and sand banks due to the large tidal range of 43 ft (13 m)
Some tides come in so fast they are preceded by a large wave called a Bore, these are present on about 130 days in the year and they make a spectacular sight as it travels many miles up the River Parrett,

This is the sea entrance and a section of the Harbour at Lybster which is a village on the east coast of Caithness in northern Scotland. It was a big herring fishing port in the 19th century.

Lybster lies at the end of the tenth stage of the John o' Groats Trail, a long-distance walking trail from Inverness to John o' Groats.

Trumpan Church is a ruined medieval church located on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. In 1578, the church was the site of a brutal massacre of the Clan MacLeod by Clan Macdonald, (also known as Clan Ranald) of South Uist. The attack was in retaliation for the massacre of hundreds of members of Clan Macdonald on the island of Eigg the previous year. The Solway Firth is an inlet on the west coast of Great Britain, forming part of the border between England and Scotland.The firth divides Cumbria (in England) from Dumfries and Galloway.(Scotland) The Isle of Man is also very near to the firth. The firth comprises part of the Irish Sea.(wikipedia)

The land in the far distance is Cumbria, in England!

At the very top of the UK mainland and another squall approaches across the loch, the wall has not fared well, time and the the Scottish weather have taken their toll, however the wild flowers will be pleased with a refresher.

This is Ard Neackie which is a small scenic peninsula on the east side of Loch Eriboll joined to the mainland by a narrow isthmus and has an interesting history of lime quarrying (from the outcropping Durness Limestone), From scotland-landscapes.com

A small section of sea front wall art at Weston Super Mare showing stones painted by local artist Kate Poole,
The stones on the left depict the at present dilapidated Birnbeck Pier and across the bottom the famous steam ship, m/s Balmoral which has sailed from Weston for many years.

More images of these lovely stones will follow in due course.
