This tombstone is in the churchyard of St Helen's, Wheathampstead. I spotted this monument a while back but a tree blocked the sunshine. I've been checking back ever since waiting for the midday sun to be high enough to clear the top of the tree. The inscription reads:

Here lyeth the body of
Mary CHIPPERFIELD
late wife of
Robert CHIPPERFIELD
who departed this life
the 2nd day of May 1712

(Footstone - M C.)

The skull is accompanied by an hourglass on its side.

In contrast to his brother, the fifth Baronet, Bennet seems to have led a quiet life with being "cheerful in his disposition" his main claim to fame. He had no children and was the last Baronet. The Estate went to the Drake branch of the family, who took the name Garrard.
