In der Mitte der Kuppel befindet sich die goldene Laterne mit dem leuchtenden Fenster, das die Taube als Symbol des Heiligen Geistes zeigt.&lt;br /&gt;

Die Mosaike in der Hauptkuppel zeigen Szenen aus den Seligpreisungen der Bergpredigt, wie die Inschrift "Selig sind die Barmherzigen" belegt. Die Kuppelkonstruktion, die von großen Tambourfenstern durchbrochen ist, sorgt für das helle, lichtdurchflutete Innere des Bauwerks, das 1905 fertiggestellt wurde.&lt;br /&gt;

It sits in the Kilmuir area, visible from Kilmuir Cemetery. The ruins stand on a grassy slope above Camus Mor Bay, overlooking the sea—making it a handy navigational landmark for vessels in the past,&lt;br /&gt;
Built in 1810.&lt;br /&gt;
Still shown as intact on Ordnance Survey maps from 1903.&lt;br /&gt;
Recorded as a ruin by the 1961 map (it likely fell into disuse sometime in between, possibly around the 1920s when a new church opened nearby in Balgown).&lt;br /&gt;

The building is the tallest building in the Augsburg area and one of the ten tallest buildings in Bavaria.&lt;br /&gt;
The 115 m (with antenna 158 m) high tower located in the district Antonsviertel, in its direct vicinity are the Congress Hall and the &lt;a href="http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wittelsbacher_Park" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;Wittelsbacher Park&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
the reinforced concrete building was planed by the Augsburg architects "Brockel and Smith". In 1972 it was opened as Europe's largest hotel building.&lt;br /&gt;
By the locals it's affectionately called Corncob tower.&lt;br /&gt;
