I am not sure what these two trucks were doing parked on the pavement opposite the beach. They may have been an advanced party for the Motor Fest which happened the following day. The Sussex County flag, flying below the UK Union Flag might have some official status, but may just indicate that the owner lives locally. I didn't get to the Motor Fest, so these are the only photos of classic vehicles I have from that weekend.

I knew that I had seen a large watch on a lady's wrist somewhere else. The woman to the left of the Salvation Army officer also has a large wrist watch. My grandmother had a similar watch in this photo www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/49989014
This photo is quite faded, so I made a copy and used the 'multiply' function in Photoshop Elements to add the layers together.

This is a cropped version of a very small print - this section is probably about 2cm square! As far as I have worked out, Percy started in the 1st Hereford's. He suffered from frostbite in the Dardanelles campaign. He was in hospital on Malta at the end of 1915. He then seems to have served in the Camel Corps in Egypt and ended the war in the Royal Flying Corps.
