We've been watching this mating pair since a about a month back when we went down to feed the ducks, at that time the dad pictured here was madly protective of the female and the bread we had for her, he stood back and let her eat every crumb.
She seemed starving at the time, I'm now we just got a lucky break and caught her off this nest to grab a quick bite.

Sadly only two babies remain when only a week ago there was 5, not uncommon but still sad.
This clutch started with 9 we heard.

Baby rabbits taken at Filsham School/Saxon Wetland, which by the wee hours of the morning this field had turned into a raging river of water about 3-4' deep.
We received 3months of rain fall in a 4 hour period and it didn't let up much all day long.

Hope all the little bunnies went to higher ground :/
