Another shot taken from the road bridge, but looking in the other direction this time. In the distance you can see the Old Mill and the Royal Oak pub and a couple of houses.

Those of you who have been following my photos will know that this is one of my favourite places.

It was a gloomy day, so black and white seemed to be the way to go.

I remember when I was a young lad, there was a wooden pontoon tied to that post, and us kids used to swim out to it and dive off it or just lie in the sun. Then someone invented "health and safety" and that was the end of that :-((

Still not going anywhere!

A cold but sunny morning, with calm waters. The incoming tide was still far enough out for me to be able to get this perspective, looking back at the houses that line the harbour. The reflections were lovely,

A wider view of the harbour in the PiP, if you have the time and inclination to look.

These were taken in 16:9 format, so are better when viewed large.

Despite the grey skies, the beach was still quite busy and this couple with the child and dog caught my eye...........and luckily the boat entered the frame with perfect timing.

Cropped to 16:9 format, so probably best viewed large. Thank you!

Taken during a walk last February, so I thought it was about time I posted it.

The Wreck

This a shot of the bow section of the wreck of a wooden boat that has been lying in Dell Quay, Hampshire for many years.

I have taken quite a few photos of this wreck previously but have been unable to determine any history of it. Recently I discovered that it had been here since at least 1986 when it was being worked on by a local fisherman. He told people it was a working boat from the Netherlands and that he was going to renovate it. Sadly, it seems that didn't happen. It is moored near the boat yard, and seems to be fairly watertight, but no one knows who owns it or why it is still there. A proper mystery!

Moored just off the Quay at Topsham, Devon, this little boat operates as a private passenger service on the River Exe normally just between the town of Topsham and the Turf Hotel/Pub on the other side of the river. It can also be booked for private trips etc. It operates between Easter and October.

Bridge and Sailing Boat

This is part of the road bridge that connects Havant to Hayling Island, Hampshire..........the only way on and off!

In the summer it is extremely busy with traffic jams regularly a mile or so long. There used to be a steam railway running adjacent to the bridge, that that closed down in the 1960's.

Captured in Emsworth, Hampshire...........where a mini regatta of remote-control sailing boats was taking place on the Mill Pond. Although the weather was cold, wet and windy, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

An extra photo from me today......taken for WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY.

This was taken this morning during a quick walk at Langstone Harbour Hampshire, while the sun was out. It didn't say out long, but it was a pleasant outing nonetheless.

I spotted this abandoned dinghy lying in a sea of wildflowers as I was on the way back to my car!
