Work has also happened at the front end !

The steering column and the front suspension units have all been refurbished prior to re-assembly.

The carburettor, and various control cables & rods are the current focus points for attention.

Progress has included new tyres on the refurbished rims [radial for safety reasons - after hearing some horror stories concerning attempts to drive with the original design of cross-ply tyres].

Decided that the underframe deserved some TLC before painting.
It has been de-rusted and coated with an anti-corrosion primer, Several small repairs have been made, mainly to gussets and conduit guide plates. The current work is surfacing filling the minor dips the shot-blasting revealed. None of the dips are deep and there is still plenty of "meat" in the frame, so this is basically just cosmetic ...

Quite a few items have already been detached; each item is to be cleaned, repaired as needed and then repainted.
