5619 is prepared in the yard at Cheddleton ready for a 30742 Charters event. The snow on that day was a surprise and made for some excellent photography.

Dusk falls on Cheddleton Station during the Caldon Low gala. The double signal is a fairly new innovation and is a start towards bringing the loop into use here.

Unfortunately the 8F used for the first days of the Caldon Low gala has failed due to firebox problems (I am told), and now stands forlorn in the yard at Cheddleton.

The steam heating is on and the sun is shining for the first train of the year 2005 on the Churnet Valley Railway. It was a magical morning and with the sound of the 8F up front it was a great journey too!

Three locos to haul a dmu and three coaches. 80098, 49395, and 44422 depart Cheddleton during the steam gala. The railway seems to be rather short of coaches as the dmu had to be pressed into service as hauled stock.
