Parc Boutte du Cap is noted for its towering cliffs, fierce winds, and Yellow Lady's-Slipper orchids in the thousands. Kippens Bog is a large but little-known bog in the village of Kippens, just to the west of Stephenville. It is known for the large number of multi-flowered Dragon's Mouth orchids. What a day we had photographing these beauties...&lt;br /&gt;

We parked in the lot just before the 1-mile tunnel and took a narrow trail to a fabulous overlook. It was a nice hike to a great spot!&lt;br /&gt;

I knew this was an orchid, but since it was no longer in bloom, I had to think about just which one it was. The surrounding landscape was quite dry, but there was a cracked layer in this cliff face that was allowing water to seep through -- a perfect place for this orchid species...&lt;/div&gt;</description>
