The plan was that we'd pop the camper open a year ago so we could do the sorts of prep work a vacation requires. We were due to leave for Cheboygan the next weekend; the sheets needed washed and some supplies restocked.

There was a general inspection element to this, too; our camper's fairly old. Annual repairs have become part of our routine.

Anyway, I took pictures....

Between the Saint Ignace trip and the Bluegrass Festival I'd only barely been home for over a week last June 24. So I spent the day doing laundry and working in the yard.

Since I'd got the tractor out to mow down the weeds in the lawn, it became my photo subject. The tractor's surprisingly attractive.

Never left the yard last January 26. Shot a few pictures of the cat. Then into the yard where I shot what I've been calling rehearsals--you'll see better versions of some of those. Then I captured some neighbors' back yards from ours.

Last year's pic-of-the-day: When I moved in, our house had been recently moved from another town into an open field, and we didn't have any near neighbors. Photographing the (then) McMurphy family's willow was easy across the meadow. Over two decades new houses and a garage (and plantings!) have made framing the photographs more difficult, but that tree's still one of the neighborhood's most attractive features.

By the way: A few months ago I told y'all a a story about an armadillo. The beasty lived in a (different) shed, under the willow.
