While I amuse myself with cameras, my lovely wife Pauline has always spent her time with various handcrafts. A year or two back, she decided to make an embroidered (opening) house to store her buttons, thimbles, scissors and such. She did what I consider a remarkable job - this is one of the 'windows', the full item is visible in the PiPs, both closed and open.

In the village where I took the previous photos of the houses and post office, there was a group of women doing embroidery. This lady in the group gave me a beautiful smile.

This street entertainer inflated a surgical glove he had strapped on his head, balanced on a unicycle, then asked a lady from the audience to throw some large knives to him. Surprising entertainment at Warwick's "Jumpers and Jazz" festival. Best viewed large.

Knitted picnic

Another from the "Jumpers and Jazz" festival in Warwick. This was at the Visitor and Information Centre. The main shot shows the (knitted) normal picnic kit, the others (in notes) are the surrounding forest and wildlife including a large snake and stick insect. All knitted, you have to admire their perseverance!

See the inset note for a wider look at the rest of this craftwork creation. It's a tribute to the general honesty of people there that these handmade stuffed toys could be left unattended in the open for over a week! HFF.

Great Uncle Joe was one of the many who did not return in 1918 - but he was 'our' family, so to commemorate him the current generation of womenfolk crocheted this tree jumper. It was awarded a "Highly Commended for excellence in knitting and/or crochet" at the "Jumpers & Jazz" festival. This seems a suitable music link.

My cousin applying the finishing touches to a "tree jumper" created for an annual festival held at Warwick in Queensland, called "Jumpers and Jazz". To explain that, I'm putting together an album with related images (some in notes above and others to come). Taken at dawn, before the streets became crowded.
