Per one real estate site, units in the Millenium Tower are (or were) on the market, ranging from $1M to $9M. I didn't see a date to indicate whether the listings were on the market before the story of the building's sinking had become public. The building site makes no mention of the problem: millenniumtowersf.com

The Millenium Tower (on the left edge of the picture) is adjacent to the transit center (the lattice-like covering here) that is being built. Some engineers are saying that the Millenium Tower is sinking more than it should due to the Transit center construction. Others, though, put the blame on the design.

The Millenium Tower in San Francisco. The tower is primarily very high-end condos, but the tower is now most known for the fact that it is sinking. While all buildings settle somewhat, the amount here is exceptional -- 16 inches so far. Construction of the new Transbay Transit Center. The new transit center will be approx 1/4 mile long, will serve 11 bus and rail lines with freeway ramps for the buses and underground tunnels for the rail; it will be topped by a city park. I could not find an explantion of the design, but am guessing that the lattice-like structure is so that the bus depot areas can be open air. The aggressively ugly, brutalist architecture, PG&E Embarcadero Substation, built in 1973. Immediately behind it "The Harrison" (https://theharrisonsf.com/ ), 49 stories of condos from 600 to 3200 sq ft, ranging from $795K to $5.3M for 1100 sq ft; I couldn't find prices for the larger town homes.

From the site for 181 Fremont, a view of two things: 1) at the bottom, the new Transbay transit center (see later pictures), and 2) rising into the sky, the Salesforce Tower. The Salesforce Tower (all office space) is to be the second tallest building west of the Mississippi with an overall height of 1070 ft. See: www.salesforcetower.com

Completely surrounded by new construction is this old building at 342 Howard in San Francisco. Unfortunately the only information I could find was reference to a restaurant in the building called Town Hall. There must, however, be something historically unique about this building since a 60 story high rise is being built around the building. The sight for the new building even mentions the efforts to preserve this older building, but doesn't explain the history of the building. The astonishing level of construction in downtown San Francisco. The low buildings in front of me are the temporary SF Transbay terminal where commuter buses from the East Bay and Peninsula discharge workers for the surrounding towers; I’m assuming the temporary terminal will be replaced by new office buildings or residence towers. The towers beyond the temporary terminal, starting from the left, are:

Lumina, “a transcendent living experience” (http://luminasf.com/ ): two towers on the left, affordable housing from $1M to $9M.

One Rincon Hill (two towers in the center (overlooking the freeway, onerinconsf.com ): current units for sale range from $795K (611 sq ft on 7th floor) to $3,075,000 (1252 sq ft on 43rd floor).

Solaire (the angular shorter building just right of center, solairesf.com ): “At the pulse point of San Francisco,” studios (422 sq ft) from $3230/month to townhomes (1567 sq ft) for $7895/month. What you don’t get for those prices:
1) parking (unassigned): $375/mo
2) having a cat or dog: $500 one-time fee, $500 deposit, $75/mo

Yeah, warmth! The light here makes this look somewhat deceptive. It was quite cold that day with temperature only about a degree above freezing and, on the harbor side (the other pictures) fairly high wind.

In the distance, the Rhineturm communications tower. It's possible to go up in the tower for a sweeping view of the area, but I didn't do that for time reasons. The water on the left side is the Rhine.

More of the mix of 'fish camp' and development. I did not feel comfortable taking pictures in this part of Fisher's Landing. There was something about the interaction with the construction workers and the looks from the few people in their yards or on the street that left me feeling like I was somehow suspect for taking pictures.
