The dolmen was originally covered by a burial mound measuring 30 by 15 meters, of which almost nothing remains.&lt;br /&gt;

The capstone, furrowed by erosion, rests on two support stones that form the end stones of the chamber. The capstone, which broke in 1948, was reinforced with concrete pillars in 1966. The capstone covers a large space and the chamber located to the west. It is laterally bounded by slabs measuring 4.9 meters and 4.25 meters in length. The dolmen was originally covered by a burial mound measuring 30 by 15 meters, of which almost nothing remains.&lt;/div&gt;</media:text>

The dolmen called La Pierre-Levée (also known as Peyrelevade) was excavated in the early 19th century by Jacques-Antoine Delpon. Delpon was a lawyer and archaeologist and collaborated with the Champollion brothers.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
During excavations of the mound in 1958, pottery fragments from the Bronze Age were discovered.&lt;/div&gt;</description>
