First published as part of an Ace Double with "The Singing Stones" by Juanita Coulson in September 1968. This 2nd printing also published as part of an Ace Double (89301) with Tubb's "The Winds of Gath" in July 1973. "The Winds of Gath" and "Derai" are the first and second books in Tubb's long-running "Dumarest of Terra" series. Cover art by Jeff Jones.
