Experiment number 27,364,850! :-)

Fred Hatt, a NYC artist, has been experimenting with painting negative images, -painting the colors opposite what we actually see, and then digitally reversing the image to find how close he can come to the original ( fredhatt.com/blog/ ). He's being careful to paint the complementary colors of what he actually sees, hence a negative image.

Here I'm being less careful but, none the less, it was a fun experiment!

Using children's Crayola markers, I sketched the image on acetate, clear plastic, and then photographed it against different colored backgrounds.
