Kiama is one of many places along the NSW coast with a rock pool built into a rocky headland. On days such as this though, with large waves, using it might require a little prudence. View large and the fences become more visible. HFF and have a good weekend, everyone.

Surprising as it may seem, the Fish Markets are one the main tourist drawcards in Sydney. As I posted previously (PiP), the old ones were inadequate. and a massive new building was being built. It opened early this year. Not long after this was taken, the crowds arrived. HFF and have a great weekend, everyone.

CLS4 Carpentaria

The Commonwealth Lightship 4 "Carpentaria" (named for the Gulf of Carpentaria) was one of four such automated unmanned ships built in 1917. This one was not retired until 1985 and now resides in the Australian National Maritime Museum.

Taken on the Riverboat Postman tour on the Hawkesbury River. These two bridges are for the motorway north from Sydney, that on the right is an older one, currently under maintenance. Poplar trees are not seen in the warmer areas of Australia, but in the cooler southern areas they are fairly common. I saw these on the Southern Tablelands while on my recent travels, as we head into Autumn and at an altitude of about 600 metres. Happy Fence Friday, everyone, and have a great weekend.
