A Medieval frame, some 1940s fish, a 1950s shirt ad guy, a 1980s Carimati carving, and finally... a title from an unjustly forgotten 1990s song by local group Torcher. Sometimes it's hard to know where a collage ends and a rummage sale begins. :D I'll get all the references posted, one of these days. (And thanks to another fan, you can already find the Torcher disc on Le Tube.) Happy end-of-Mermay!!

I was in Astoria, Oregon a couple of weeks ago for the Wine & Seafood Festival. Perfect weather, a cozy room, all the perks. The treats are long gone, but the memories live on. :)

Filters are: "Brushstrokes: Crosshatch" (fish, gloves: in a medium-high setting), "Artistic: Paint Daubs" (the two perpendicular lines), "Pixellate: Pointillize" (upper right section, saturation changed w/Command+U), "Sketch: Halftone Pattern" (clock face), "Sketch: Plaster" (circle at lower right).

Also use of Stroke;other minor touch-ups.

Continuing the beach theme, here's even more fish and some shell-like marks in glass. I took the title from a breezy, reggae-tinged Jazz tune by Steve Turre, which features seashells as instruments.. Go and listen to it. Make him famous. It's way past time. :)
