I forgot that I took this photo of the tree from last week on an HDR setting. This one has about 5 exposures merged (this time using Paintshop Pro). For those who did not see the HDR in this week's cedar, I hope this one satiates your appetite for HDR. Remember, this was a night shot with the tree picking up light from an adjacent floodlight. The sky is illumined from the city lights and a big clear moon. The clouds emerge from the over-exposures in the set. 14mm (28 35mm equivalent) lens with fisheye attachment. Olympus M-1.

I have always needed a reason to photograph this tree at night so I thought I would finally get around to it for TSC. This tree stands on the grounds of an industrial business park. There is always an amber spotlight on it even though the light is designed to be used for security. I took several normal shots and then I decided to try a couple of the art filters built into my camera. This is the Dramatic Tone setting. I like how it pulled the light off the clouds into the frame.
