"Jazz in Marciac" is a jazz festival that takes place over a period of three weeks in July/August. It attracts about 200.000 visitors to gather in Marciac, a small medieval town with about 1200 inhabitants.

Deluxe is a French electropop band that blends hip-hop, funk, jazz, and electro-swing.

They're a captivating and highly entertaining show band, fronted by the charismatic singer Liliboy.

Performing on stage is French DJ, producer and singer Dabeull and his band play modern funk with influences from the 1970s and 1980s. The sound is characterized by funky basslines, melodic synthesizers, and soulful vocals.

The hall where the evening events take place is huge.

Jédapama is indeed a great mix of different musical styles. It's comparable to a very well balanced sauce where you can taste the different ingredients on your tongue. Here, you need your ears, and you can hear influences from French chanson, slam poetry, jazz, reggae, pop, and much more, and all these styles blend together into a very interesting and entertaining music.

The harpist (on the right) brought additional, very unusual sounds to Jedapama's melodies.

Jédapama is indeed a great mix of different musical styles. It's comparable to a very well balanced sauce where you can taste the different ingredients on your tongue. Here, you need your ears, and you can hear influences from French chanson, slam poetry, jazz, reggae, pop, and much more, and all these styles blend together into a very interesting and entertaining music.

With the support of many enthusiasts and volunteers Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux hosts the "Soul Funk Festival" ( formerliy known as "Soul Jazz Festival) already since 16 years.

The stage is erected in front of marie in the center of the small town (pop 8700). The festival´s logo is screened onto the walls of the old cathedral´s apse during the warm summer nights.

True Loves, a young band formed by guitarist Jimmy James, who was a member of the Delvon Lamar Organ Trio before, is very interesting, as there is a very srong brass section interacting with Jimmy´s guitar.

The New Mastersounds are a jazz/blues/funk band, founded end of the 90s in Leeds and meanwhile based in Denver. Eddie Roberts (guitar), Simon Allen (drums), Pete Shand (bass) and Joe Tatton (hammond) feel home in Saint Paul Trois Chateau, as far as I remember I saw them every year I visited the festival.
