fine house of 1791 , facing into charlton place as the end house of new terrace, with elegant segmental bows, ironwork and the bare minimum of coade stone trim, this was probably built by james taylor, the r.c. developer of this area.

opening into charlton place on the return at the end of its terrace is this doorcase with its slender adamesque doric columns in antis, and the delicate leadwork petals of its fanlight. built in 1793.

built in 1791 as new terrace, with a raised pavement railed off from the road and new river that ran in front, these houses were probably built by the r.c. architect james taylor, bearing his elegant regency details in proportion, ironwork and coade stone.
