c19 porch, c16 brick tower with reused c14 windows. keys close by. this irreplaceable countryside is soon to be destroyed by government vandalism and crazy taxation policies. 10,000 newbuilds are on their way, as tax breaks are skewed against restoration of old properties and use of brown field sites, meaning we chew up and spit out new land rather than re-using old.

mid c15 glass, orate p... willi estfeld, milites. sir william estfield died 1447, having been lord mayor of london twice, and left money to the church. he'd been lord of the manor of netherhall. the maidenheads on his arms may refer to his mercer background.
