Mailbox at the Belize cruise port. British design, because Belize was once part of the Empire.

(Wish that the gift shoppe had been open, I could have addressed a card to myself. Always interesting to see what the postal system looks like in other countries.)

Taken at the Mayan ruins we visited from the cruise ship. These "stele", stones carved with images and Mayan writing, were nearly destroyed by the climate. They have been restored and placed indoors.

Our cruise ship was tied up to a nice new dock system. This is a view that includes the transportation carts, as well as a rest area for passengers. On the right are the lifeboats for the ship.

Spy Satellite Target Benchmark

Taken in the desert near Casa Grande, Arizona. These markers are located close to the RV park where we spent many winters.

The "target" is a group of concrete pads in that shape. There is a benchmark in the exact center. The operators of the spy satellites would take photos of these markers, and then check their locations against the exact positioning of the benchmark.
