On cool mornings these White American Pelicans gather on stones in Wascana Creek. They often remain almost motionless for moments at a time, but grooming is part of their morning ritual.

While taking pictures of a church at Grayson, Saskatchewan, I noticed something moving in a vacant lot north of the church. At first I thought it was a coyote, but it was a red fox grooming itself, and not disturbed by three photographers taking turns moving closer to take photos. When I kneeled to get a lower perspective, the fox gave me this look.
