A recent fallen tree has brought chaos to the 'bowing beech' where we held our handfasting ceremony at the Summer Solstice in 2005.

It's a bit sad, but the woodland is constantly changing anyway; nothing stays the same for ever.

In April 2005 it looked like this:

We chose this spot next to the Limb Brook in the woodland of the Limb Valley on 20th April 2005 for our Handfasting ceremony which took place two months later at the Summer Solstice.

Snowy handfasting ground

Winter Solstice 2009.
Snow in the Limb valley at Whirlow, south west Sheffield.

We held our handfasting ceremony under the bowing beech tree at the Summer Solstice 2005.
