Seats and tables outside "King's" - the refreshment room at Wharf Station [Talyllyn Railway], plus a water bowl for canines. We've just had a snack and hot drinks.
The bridge in the background is a tight fit for trains ... not a normal running day but there are two "photo-charters" out there.

AJSMOC members, with some guests, arriving at the Robin Hood Inn for their winter solstice meal.
The menu had various seasonal options in the three courses, as expected it was all top notch.

We've taken over half the tables in the main bar area, instead of sitting in the "snug" - with 20 people booked in and the new branch mascot ... we needed the extra space.

Looking inside, after a very busy period, there's now a few tables free.
We had had the soup - curried vegetable, which was a lovely, warming & very filling meal.
Can't quite see into the "Bootneck's Corner" [at the back, on the left] where I've sat, in a comfy armchair, a few times with Ben de-Dog ...
Note : the suspended cycle - Not only are Dug & Kim dog-friendly, they also accept cyclists !

Sadly I don't think this class 37 will move much.
This is D6898 aka 37198{TOPS}. The Class 37s were designed by English Electric and built at their Robert Stephenson and Hawthorns works in Darlington. D6898 was the final locomotive built at the works before its closure. 37198 was withdrawn from service in 1999 and preserved before being resold to Network Rail in 2008. After being used as a spares donor for other class members, it was donated to the North Road / Head of Steam Museum in August 2021.

Interior of the First Class saloon, behind me are four more seats in the Observation end of this carriage. The moquette pattern is the BR First Class "Blazing Sun".
The central doors at the far end conceal the guard's luggage compartment.

Today, Table 9 is adorned with cats for the condiments.

We came by for a snack / quick lunch and then to give Ben de-Dog a short walk, he's getting to be too old and arthritic to do longer walks, unless the route is almost flat.
[He managed about half a mile today quite happily, and another, much shorter walk later on - although the second one had a bit of a steep climb involved]

Now a common sight - Ben and Beauty eating their meals alongside each other, in this case, it's breakfast.
Although Ben always finishes first - well, he IS a Labrador, after all - he has not attempted to filch her food at mealtimes. Even when she runs off before finishing - usually because she's still very nervous.

Partly because he's quite elderly, Ben's dish sits on a little "table" - actually a small step / stool. The extra height helps his swallowing / digestion.

Sadly, the bulbs aren't doing very well - maybe some more dud compost or frost damage ? [when I dug them up several weeks later, they were infested with maggots / eelworms, so the whole lot was binned, and the pot has been carefully sterilised and put aside]
However, the Ice Plant is putting on lots of growth ...

I had to look twice at the bird - this piece of public street art is a mock-up of a riverside mooring, with a cormorant in their typical "wing drying" pose on top.

I've seen this design of mini-gabions as bench and table legs several times - at least they can't be chucked around ...

One of the largest "beefsteak" tomatoes I've seen, it measured about 6" across and around 3 1/2" high.
That's a standard 6" rule for scale.
Contrary to some previous experience with large fruit & veg, it was excellent quality.
