Notation: Thanks to Lori Nelson at the Lake of the Woods Museum in Kenora, I've learned that this small bandstand stood at the west end of Second Street South (at the corner of Water Street). The large building on the left is the Russell House, located on the southwest corner of Main and Second Streets.&lt;br /&gt;

Notation: This building is the flour mill of the Lake of the Woods Milling Company Limited in Keewatin, Ontario. The mill was in operation from 1888 - 1967, marketing its product as Five Roses Flour. These tracks are running East towards Kenora. The Town of Keewatin lies across a small bay/channel just to the south (right) of the mill. The small building seen in the distance on the right side of the photo is the Keewatin railway station.&lt;/div&gt;</description>

Virtually all of the buildings are long gone, the forests have reclaimed the open spaces, and, apart from several open shafts, there is little evidence that anything of any significance ever took place there.&lt;/div&gt;</description>

Notation: Elephants and camels strolling on the road beside the park attached to the C.P.R. Station in Kenora, (Station is to the right of this picture.) It seems quite likely that the circus arrived by train, as a journey by road from the nearest sizeable town (Winnipeg) would have been over 100 miles of primitive  roads through inhospitable terrain.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Note on reverse reads; "This is some of the circus that was here. I finished them up, and painted them myself too."
