"Next Car Please"

This trolley car is currently part of the collection of the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, California. This trolley used used to run in the streets of Los Angeles. This unit is inside the storage/workplace area of the museum compound. Note that it has both signs on the car, including the sign indicating that the destination is "Car House Only". While operating in this configuration, passengers were not supposed to enter the car.

Note that the sign can be replaced or removed entirely, depending on the status of the trolley car. For example the Car "F" unit we saw had a sign for the terminus of the route.

A new way of posting small parcels and packages. One can download postage-paid labels and attach them to your parcels and letters. Having done that you can post them in this box and get a 'proof of posting' on your mobile (cell) phone. This has been converted from the conventional pillar box with the door redesigned and a solar panel added to the cap. There is only one locally in the main shopping street.

Although the Ellis sign has been repainted fairly recently, neither sign relates to the current commercial uses of these two buildings. So both can be regarded as ghost signs.
