at the end of an unspoiled village street leading only to the thames is this 1900 lychgate, central pivot, counterweighted. church locked, always. if nobody can access churches, why should they care about their fate?

the church groups well from the east when first seen, and looks relatively unrestored , but I've never found it open, nor do incumbents in this stockbroker area welcome visitors. chancel 1275 with east window of 1350, south chapel 1430, tower c14 with c16 top. two other parties of visitors tried to visit in the time it took to walk around the outside, I bet they won't be back.
