I was struck by this impressive skyscape of offshore cloud formations with an embedded cumulo-nimbus suggesting at least a heavy shower and possible thunderstorm offshore (the clouds boosted by the warm east coast ocean current).

I stalled out for several weeks, trying to complete several roughs that didn't want to go anywhere. Or they did want to, but they were too similar to things I'd already done.

So I took a break and loaded some new items onto my ephemera page, Then I came back and threw out almost all the half-finished works. Then this one snapped together in only a day. Maybe there's a lesson here?

Bombo wall

I recently posted a photo of a fence at Bombo (PiP). This is the seaward side of the headland at the end of the fence. It is interesting for its geology, with a distinct change in the rock type visible, even better seen large. Of course, it also makes a good wall, so Happy Wednesday Wall, everyone.

Kiama is one of many places along the NSW coast with a rock pool built into a rocky headland. On days such as this though, with large waves, using it might require a little prudence. View large and the fences become more visible. HFF and have a good weekend, everyone.

Bombo Headland was once a major quarry for the rocks required to build railways in the late 19th and early 20th century. What is left is now a nature reserve. Wishing everyone a Happy Fence Friday and pleasant and safe Easter.

Our cruise ship was tied up to a nice new dock system. This is a view that includes the transportation carts, as well as a rest area for passengers. On the right are the lifeboats for the ship.

Bombo Beach is immediately to the north of Kiama. The harbour in my previous image is near the distant pines to the left of centre, while the main part of the town is behind the headland at centre. In the water, just someone on a jet ski. .

In fron to "Plage des Salines" an hard rocky barrier stops the ocean waves resulting in a very quite water at the beach side. The sand, made by white limestone, makes a very bright water.

This one got about half-finished and then sat around for months before I finally got serious about completion. By coincidence, there was a brand new post-mortem about *Titan* on You Tube, just a few days ago.

The phrase is a play on "Lush Life" by the late Billy Strayhorn.

I always forget what a pain text-heavy works are, until it's too late. :D

In Namibia, during our 2018 world cruise. These flamingos were flying near Walvis Bay. Interesting contrast of their red/pink feathers and the blue haze. Those are ocean-going ships in the background, anchored in Walvis Bay.
