I stared at the rough version for ages, before I thought of flipping up the jacket outlines. I got new, unexpected shapes (which led to the flower theme). Vintage papers can be very fragile, so that's one maneuver which would be much harder without the computer. :)

Shown smaller than the original finished size of 3307 X 3245.

Layers of "Noise: Dust & Scratches," "Stylize: Glowing Edges," "Brush Strokes: Sumi-E," and a few bits of "Distort: Pond Ripple" at the very top. Other miscellaneous tools, too.

Mostly a layer of "Brush Strokes: Sumi-E" in Linear Dodge mode, at 80% opacity. There's also some of the "Sketch: Torn Edges" and the "Artistic: Colored Pencil" filters beneath. Some touch-ups with the Burn, Dodge, Stroke, and Eraser tools.

A high opacity layer of "Artistic: Underpainting" over a layer of "Texturizer: Burlap" and another of "Sketch: Stamp" (in black and white). Some playing with Free Transform, Eraser, and Liquify. Other touch-ups.

There's a normal layer at the bottom, and a 60% opacity layer of "Artistic: Cutout" at the top. In between is a "stamp" made by using the bread slices at left to make a Brush Preset in dark blue on a light blue and white background. It was run at 70% in Color Burn mode. Other touch ups and corrections.

"Artistic: Cut Paper" at 25% opacity in Color Burn mode, over a layer of "Blur: Gaussian Blur" at 65% in Difference Mode. The layer below that is a 100% layer of "Sketch: Stamp" in black and white. Some "Pixelate: Color Halftone" on the olive and some "Brush Strokes: Crosshatch" on the dress. Other touch-ups and corrections.

The top layer is "Artistic: Watercolor," in Luminosity mode at full opacity. Then there's a layer of "Sketch: Stamp," a pair of "Texture: Grain" filters, and some "Pixelate: Color Halftone"-- also at full opacity. The Eraser tool was use to blend everything together. Other adjustments and changes.

The type is run through a low setting of the "Distort: Glass" (Tiny Lens) filter. The figure has a medium percentage of "Blur: Smart Blur," in Color Dodge mode. The background is a high percentage of the "Distort: Diffuse Glow" filter, with a low setting of "Noise: Add Noise" over that.

The figure has a medium level of "Blur: Smart Blur" on the head. Her dress is a medium level of "Artistic: Smudge Stick," using the Luminosity mode. Some varicolored "Stroke" on her outside. The type and doorway have some "Stylize: Emboss." The background is "Pixelate: Color Halftone" in a small size on the left, with the section's opacity turned down and a solid layer of beige paint underneath. The wall is "Distort: Glass" in the maximum size Tiny Lens option, Color Burn mode. Other corrections and touch-ups.
