Noury &amp; Van der Lande was founded in 1839 as a paint factory. In 1913 they created the Overijselsche IJzergieterij as a subsidiary. The Overijselsche folded in 1941, but they already ceased production in 1927 after a cripling strike. This drain cover therefore must date from 1913-1927. &lt;br /&gt;

Noury &amp; Van de Lande was one of the companies that formed AkzoNobel.&lt;br /&gt;

In August 2008 the last building of the foundry was demolished: "De Overijsselsche IJzergieterij was gevestigd aan de Zutphenscheweg links omringd door nog maagdelijke weilanden en rechts de gebouwen van de gasfabriek. Augustus 2008 is door AKZO het oude directiekantoor afgebroken, het laatste wat aan de gieterij herinnerde. Op de Overijsselsche IJzergieterij waren zo'n 350 arbeiders aan het werk, de familie Van der Lande was grootaandeelhouder."&lt;/div&gt;</description>
