Made from some industrial ribbon stuff (I think it's for lingerie manufacture--it's soft and has that lingerie color) I found at Trash for Teaching in Gardena--I bought out all the packets they had! Trim yarn was a friend's leftover Cotton Ease, and the button is from my great-aunt's stash, so it's vintage.

The lining is fabric from Trash for Teaching, a super-soft cotton I picked up a few months ago.

I made this. It's fun to wear but it's not good for driving in. Moda "Ticker Tape" nylon. The peak is hollow and has a hole in it, so you can use it as a flower vase (I'm thinking a yellow Gerbera daisy?); also thinking about how to rig a small lightbulb up there... It's been a long week.

Crocheted with random thrifted yarn; antlers are hyperbolic, like coral, and can be repositioned/reshaped various ways. They're hollow too, so if you have long ponytails they can be fed through. ;)

She was also the first African-American woman to receive a commission as lieutenant in the US Civil Air Patrol.
