east window c14, but rebuilt 1846 by pritchett, who did a lot of restoration hereabouts. both nave and chancel have c13 lancets.

pritchett's church of 1861 displays all of the spiky sculptural tendencies of rogue gothic buildings, revelling in the hard sharp textures of flint and red brick. pevsner called it perversely ugly, but even he had to recognise its originality, as honest and brutal as any avant guard building of the 1960s
