Baal Bone junction and signals hut, the colliery branch is the right hand track. This line runs from Wallerawang to Kandos for coal and cement. Sometime in 1994.

A test sheet used to record basic measurements on a 4 wire plus E & M circuit. For this project the functionality was mostly derived from either two pairs of copper wires or a 64K slot from a 2M PDH stream.

The links connected train radio base station controllers with the central control for the railway route.

Loco 8164 leads a short Up freight at Kerrs Creek. December 1997.

Probably the first railfan photo taken in NSW due to information from a radio/GPS system. I was at this site to monitor the passing of a scenario test train which came through later. I saw this train enter the Kerrs Creek zone on my laptop and was ready when it passed.

The electric staff machine, for Wellington to Geurie section of track at Wellington. A similar machine was across the room for the Wellington to Stuart Town section. The aim of the Train Radio system was to enable use of train orders to manage the movements of trains. This would eliminate the need to stop at places like this to deposit one staff and get another. November 1997.

Riding a Scenario train, approaching Geurie station and radio base, to Orange from Dubbo. The loop was left set for a Down train to allow a scenario to be worked on the train order system. Our signal was at stop so a crew member had to walk to the safeworking hut to do the real job and change the signal to accept us into the yard.
