the gatehouse started c.1525 as an ornate two towered affair, wren capped the towers off with ogees and built a cental tower with ogee dome over in 1681-2

part of the memorial brass , now in the museum of london, of the master mason henry redman, +1528, who built many of henry VIII's brick palaces. it comes from the church of st.lawrence, new brentford, now vandalized and derelict.

parts of the memorial brass of the master mason henry redman, +1528, who built many of henry VIII's brick palaces. it comes from the church of st.lawrence, new brentford, now vandalized and derelict. he and his wife and family originally knelt under a trinity. the brass is now in the museum of london.
