Again, this hawk was photographed near King's Canyon National Park and tentatively identified as a Red-tailed Hawk, though after looking again at the photos, I do not think it is that.

I had identified this as a Red-tailed Hawk but after looking at the photos again I do not think it is a Red-tail. I'll have to doing some searching later in the day and try to get a better ID. The bird was photographed near King's Canyon National Park in California.

Later. After looking again, I'm inclined to identify this as a Ferruginous Hawk, Buteo regalis, and have changed the name on the photo. I am willing to be corrected, however, and hope someone knows better than I do.
