This terrace backs on to Richmond Park but in front is the busy Robin Hood roundabout on the A3 Kingston by-pass. (Bet they still cost a fortune though.)

Interesting how many different styles of streetname signs there are in the same road when it's a long one (and I might have missed a few). Better viewed large.
South to north from bottom to top.

That clearly is the faded remnant of an old painted street sign in the top picture. I'm only assuming it read Somerfield Road as that was the name of the road according to the modern sign on a post on the other side of the road!

Even though you can only see the ROUD GRE at the top that's obviously Stroud Green (especially as that's the road it was in!). The remains of the lettering at the bottom fits with ISLINGTON once you've puzzled it out...

This sign is on the corner of Marlborough Road so what puzzles me is what the almost completely faded sign on the bottom right says. It doesn't look as if it ever read Marlborough on the top line and although the beginning of the bottom line looks as if it could start with an 'R' it then seems to end 'VES' so perhaps it wasn't a street sign at all.
Any ideas?

Pretty signed out altogether, this wall, as the white blobs looks as if something has been blu-tacked up there at some point too!
