Église Saintes Juste et Ruffine&lt;br /&gt;
Le 7 des calendes de juillet 982, une église dédiée aux saintes Juste et Ruffine est consacrée par Hildesind, évêque d'Elne, en présence d'Oliba Cabreta, comte de Cerdagne et de Besalú, de sa femme et ses fils, qui est à l'origine de la paroisse de la villa Pratis. &lt;br /&gt;
L'augmentation de la population a obligé de construire une nouvelle église, consacrée le 23 avril 1245 par Bernat de Berga, évêque d'Elne.&lt;br /&gt;
Au XVIIe siècle, l'église romane est jugée trop petite car il y a alors 1 200 fidèles. Les consuls et les conseillers de la ville décidèrent en 1648 de modifier l'église paroissiale. Les plans de la nouvelle église sont faits par Antoine Doldon, architecte de Perpignan. L'église est construite par Guillaume Fara, père et fils, maîtres maçons de Prats-de-Molo en conservant les murs gouttereaux de l'église édifiée au XIIIe siècle mais en les surélevant pour recevoir la nouvelle couverture.&lt;/div&gt;</description>

It is located about one kilometre south of the town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Originally a Celto-Ligurian oppidum, it expanded under Greek influence before becoming a Roman city. As it was never built over by settlements after the Roman period but was partly buried by deposits washed from the hills above, much of it was preserved. Only from 1921 it was discovered and, after 17 Centuries, many of the impressive buildings have been excavated and can be visited today. &lt;br /&gt;

En 1129, l'église Sainte Marie de Marcevol est donnée à l'ordre canonial régulier du Saint-Sépulcre par l'évêque d'Elne. Le prieuré est la seule dépendance de cet ordre en Roussillon.&lt;br /&gt;
Le séisme de 1428, qui fit de nombreux dégâts en Catalogne, endommagea une grande partie des bâtiments monastiques, dont la reconstruction fut entreprise dans les années qui suivirent.&lt;br /&gt;
Au XVe siècle, alors qu'il était en pleine période de décadence comme nombre de fondations religieuses à travers la France, l'Ordre des chanoines réguliers du Saint-Sépulcre est dissous par le pape en 1489 et le prieuré est transféré à la communauté des prêtres de Vinça qui l'administre jusqu'à la Révolution française.&lt;br /&gt;
Vendu comme bien national à la Révolution, il est converti en exploitation agricole. L'édifice, classé au titre des monuments historiques par la liste de 1840, est restauré à partir des années 1970. &lt;br /&gt;
Ici la façade occidentale, remarquable par sa sobriété et sa «muralité». Elle est dominée par un clocher mur asymétrique comprenant 4 baies (il en comportait sans doute 6 à l'origine).&lt;br /&gt;

Temple romànic del segle XII, restaurat l'any 1929. Disposa d'una sola nau amb volta apuntada a l'interior i absis semicircular construït amb carreus ben escairats.&lt;br /&gt;
El campanar originari era d'espadanya, damunt la qual s'aixecà l'actual, de torre amb teulat a quatre vessants.&lt;br /&gt;

Un boulevard è una strada di comunicazione posta dove vi erano in precedenza delle mura antiche e deriva dall'olandese bolwerk (che significa appunto "roccaforte", "bastione"). Il termine baluardo (balluardo, bellovardo) è attestato dal pieno Cinquecento in Italia fra la corrente terminologia d'architettura e ingegneria militare. La parola è stata usata dal XV secolo in Francia dove fu francesizzata in boulevard. Così fu possibile far sì che il traffico transitasse all'esterno di una città come se fosse una circonvallazione. È, di solito, una strada relativamente importante a più corsie di marcia e con ampi marciapiedi ai lati.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description>

Le théâtre antique d'Arles a été construit à la fin du Ier siècle av. J.-C., sous le règne de l'empereur Auguste, juste après la fondation de la colonie romaine. Commencé vers 40/30 av. J.-C., il fut achevé vers l’an 12 av. J.-C. devenant ainsi l'un des premiers théâtres en pierr du monde romain. Le théâtre s'inscrit sur le decumanus du quadrillage romain.&lt;br /&gt;
De l'élévation antique supportant la cavea, il ne demeure plus qu'une travée, englobée au Moyen Âge dans le rempart de la cité où elle fut transformée en tour de défense (ici en photo).&lt;br /&gt;

Sant Cristòfol de Beget - Catalunya&lt;br /&gt;

Romànic, el temple de Beget és un edifici d'una sola nau, amb arcs torals, i absis semicircular.&lt;br /&gt;
Adossat al costat sud hi ha la torre del campanar, magnífic exemplar de romànic llombard, de quatre pisos separats per frisos en dents de serra. La planta baixa (i el primer pis, per alguns historiadors) correspon a un temple anterior, possiblement del segle x. El primer pis té dos nivells de finestres sobreposades i és construït amb carreus força petits i irregulars. Als dos cossos superiors l'aparell constructiu és força més gran i regular, amb obertures geminades i són del segle xii. Està ornat amb arcuacions llombardes al tercer pis i les obertures són a les quatre parets. Les finestres dels pisos centrals són geminades.&lt;br /&gt;

Toute simple, la chapelle construite en moellons (date du XIIe siècle) est précédée d'un porche imposant ajouté lors de la restauration du XVIIe siècle. Elle est soutenue par de massifs contreforts et est surmontée d'un clocher-mur à une seule baie campanaire.&lt;br /&gt;
Avec les cyprès qui l'encadrent, elle compose une des images les plus connues de la Provence en général et de l'art roman provençal en particulier.&lt;br /&gt;

La parte superiore mostra il segno di un artefice colto e aggiornato su recenti esperienze bizantine, da collocare in ambiente romano, mentre la zona inferiore sembra dovuta a un artefice locale della bottega dei pittori Berlinghieri.&lt;br /&gt;

La chiesa, eretta tra il 1129 ed il 1160, è a tre navate delle quali una appare ricostruita, probabilmente dopo il terremoto del 1428. Anche il campanile a vela decentrato fa pensare a una ricostruzione.&lt;br /&gt;
Il complesso comprendeva anche un chiostro del quale non rimane più nulla.&lt;br /&gt;
Bellissimo è il portale in marmo rosa del Conflent, del quale vi mostro una foto in &lt;b&gt;nota&lt;/b&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;

Questo complesso, risalente al IX e X secolo, è una delle più importanti testimonianze dell'architettura pre-romanica ancora esistenti. &lt;br /&gt;
In origine c'erano due campanili  gemelli, quello a nord, che portava l'orologio e le campane, crollò nell'inverno del 1838/39 a seguito di una tempesta.&lt;br /&gt;
La torre che rimane è alta 33 metri, decorata a bande lombarde (o lesene; la lesena è un elemento di ordine architettonico addossato a parete, quindi verticale, che consiste in un fusto, a pianta rettangolare, appena sporgente dalla parete stessa, con i relativi capitelli e base).&lt;br /&gt;
Il contrafforte alla base fu aggiunto nel XV secolo per controbilanciare la sua inclinazione che avrebbe potuto causare problemi. Anche la merlatura non è originale.&lt;br /&gt;

Qui sotto l'esterno dell'antica chiesa edificata non lontano da quello che allora era il porto di Ravenna.&lt;br /&gt;
È stata definita il più grande esempio di basilica paleocristiana.&lt;br /&gt;

Qui sotto l'esterno dell'antica chiesa edificata non lontano da quello che allora era il porto di Ravenna.&lt;br /&gt;
È stata definita il più grande esempio di basilica paleocristiana.&lt;br /&gt;
