From another [fairly] reliable source, which confirms that this is the Ratgoed Tramway horse and a rake of waggons loaded with finished slabs at the Aberllefenni Slate Works [dated April 1948]. Note the beams and tensioned wires to hold the slabs on the waggon framework.

Another "Borrowdale slate Banksy" has been spotted.

Borrowdale Banksy is an anonymous producer of slate sculptures, in the English Lake District.
Whoever this person is, they are very skilled with slate & dry stone walling methods.

Interesting pointwork - and wheels - on a small sample of narrow gauge track and waggons displaying the sort of rail waggons that might have been used to move slate.

Slate plaque for Alan Pegler. Unveiled at TanYBwlch at the memorial service, October 2012. The shape is the same as the Festiniog milestones.
