It was the last sailing warship to be built for the Portuguese Navy. It remained in service until 1878, It served on the regular run to the Portuguese colonies in India. It was partly destroyed in 1963 by a fire, its burnt hull was in the River Tagus until 1990, when it was restored.&lt;/div&gt;</description>
