Somewhat muddy in some places and sharp gravel in others ! as all the sand's up by the piers behind me.

sad about the washed up jellyfish and the rubbish [old tyres etc]

A very wide expanse of sand (& some mud) in the outer harbour at Whitehaven.
Low tide just about as low as it gets on the Autumn "spring tides" ... [tide table ...] - if you look very carefully at the far side of the harbour, you can just see the line of the deep water channel leading to the sea lock.

The clouds and hills in the distance are in Scotland, the far shore of the Solway Firth.

The weekend 9th and 10th April 2016 saw some of the highest "spring tides" of the year, this was taken a few minutes after "high tide", the marina level is down an inch or three.
