FDR's birthplace and home. It was originally a smaller farmhouse, with new facade and additions all around added in 1915.

The original farmhouse was clapboard. In 1915, the additions were added along with the stone and stucco facade.

This is as close as we got to Val-Kill (Eleanor Roosevelt's home) and Top Cottage (FDR's retreat). Val-Kill is only open at the weekend, and Top Cottage is closed indefinitely -- both casualties of 2013 sequestration budget cuts.
