This is taken through the front window. The handle seen here was used by the carman to operate this trolley car that used to run in the streets of Los Angeles. It, and some other units operate regularly on the streets of the museum compound.

It currently is part of the collection of the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, California.

Got some online help, and identified this as a male Northern Red-Billed Hornbilll, which are quite common in this part of Africa. This would be a male, because of the red bill.

There is an agricultural display at the local Fair. The "benches" are in the shape of farm animals. This, of course, is a cow.

Taken when we visited Zuerich in early 1992. We had a Eurrail Pass so could take the boating trip around Lake Zuerich. The sun was just poking through the clouds on this cold February day. I guess we have a goose and some mudhens near the boat dock.

These benches were outside an automobile-themed restaurant. They took the tailgates of pickup trucks, and attached them to the wood frame of the bench.

Switchman throwing the switch at the Union Pacific Bailey Yard. He is helping to move locomotives around between the repair and storage areas.

The Bailey Yard, located in North Platte, Nebraska, is the largest railroad yard in the world.

Delicate Arch at Sunrise

We did not hike up to Delicate Arch; the folks you see in the photo, did. We were at the viewpoint far down in the valley. Used the maximum telephoto with my Panasonic GX85.

The rising sun has just touched 2/3's of the Arch. Some of the photographers on the mountain still have their tripods set up.

Each moment was a different view, as the sun lit various parts of the scene.

Taken behind the Union Station museum in Ogden, Utah.

This is a well-used piece of railway equipment, probably awaiting restoration. (Seems to be self-propelled, but I don't know what kind of engine.) Still has the WMRY railway lettering on it.

Outside the factory tour area of John Deere (in Illinois), there is a rest area made up of tractor seats. They are painted in the classic Deere green.
