Bekannt ist, dass man am Meer oder an Seen gute Gelegenheiten hat romantische Sonnenuntergänge zu erleben und zu fotografieren. Aber auch im Inland gibt es immer wieder eine Gelegenheit den magischen Moment eines Sonnenuntergangs einzufangen. In der Nähe des Aufnahmeortes hatten sich übrigens etliche Leute versammelt, die ein kleines Picknick vorbereitet hatten und sich an dieser schönen Stimmung erfreuten. Die Aufnahme entstand in der Nähe von Würzburg. Das PiP zeigt ein Foto am gleichen Standort, aber nach hinten verlagertem Fokus.

Als gigantische Formationen aus Basaltsäulen ragen sie in den Himmel und entschädigen Wanderer mit traumhaften Aussichten für so manchen mühevollen Aufstieg. Die weiten Blicke sind es, die der bewirtschafteten Kulturlandschaft auch den Beinamen „Land der offenen Fernen“ eingebracht haben.
